Q&A

Well, I really don't have anything to blog about yet today.  I was prepared though.  Anytime I don't have anything to blog about that day, I'll open up a Q&A section for my readers.

So, dear readers, what would you like to discuss?

    Not necessarily in that order.

  2. Gelatin - I find the subject a bit shaky these days
Polyhedrons - too many sides to debate, I'll pass
Geology - mostly stable discussion, but it can be a bit unstable at times
Societal inconsistencies - sometimes change is a good thing
puppies - I once had a conversation at work with a friend that the subject was puppies that crapped ice cream. No joke. It's #1 on the Weird Things I've Done list.

  4. Do you believe in ghosts & have you ever seen one? Do you want to? - I do believe in spirits and ghosts. It's hard to be in our family and not believe. The chilling descriptions the Becky (my stepmom) has told me, confirmed by her cousin Craig, leave me with little doubt about their exsistance. I've had a few supernatural sightings myself, one such experience was the day my dad and stepmom got married. Becky was holding my hand and walking me through the cemetary by the church, showing me the relatives that she had that were buried there. As we were walking, someone took my other hand and held it. It was warm, not cold like everyone says, and I couldn't see anyone standing next to me.

Do you get a discount on your insurance? - Surprisingly, I don't go through my work for insurance. The Craig mentioned above is my agent through a different company because he's family to me, and I feel I should give him my business.

What is the craziest story you have about a customer at work? - I so want to answer this, but I'm afraid it would violate the privacy policy we have. Sorry!

Do you have a specific way you like your socks folded? - I roll them up. But I'm not picky about it.

Did you ever wear braces? - Yes. I wore them for three years. My Junior and Senior year of high school and my first year out and about. I had them removed when I went to college, and I have a permanent bottom retainer on my lower front teeth.

What is one of your pet peeves? - People who eat and talk on the phone at the same time. I know they probably don't think about it, but it is so disgusting to hear people chew in your ear.

What totally creeps you out? - This one is easy. Anything creepy that has to do with kids. Creepy kid laughter, creepy kid ghosts or monsters. It's just wrong and I can't stand it.

  7. Loved hearing your side of the Marines story. I never knew that stuff, even though I am your mom, who lived 200 miles away. I am thrilled that you are out walking. I want you and Deanna to live a long and happy life, have kids and be healthy. I am so glad she's any kind of motivation to get healthy. She's the coolest gal around and I adore her!

Car broke, no transportation, so I can't go into town to get a cell signal, to access my voicemail, but thanks for remembering your old mom on her day, which went to heck in a handcart yesterday when our car broke, twice! I think about you and Deanna a lot and wish I could more a part of your lives there. Utah is a wilderness away especially when you live out of cell signal. (no it's not Mars, but with the mountain between us and the cell towers, it might as well be.) We live here because of the gym, which is my godsend, by the way. It gets me going just by existing and being free!

I feel so great when I drag my lardy but shrinking butt in there to exercise. Somewhere inside me is this skinny gal trying to get out. My hubby has lost 24 lbs and looks so great. I am behind him, but being in the hospital with an infection has slowed my progress.

The best reason for exercising, like walking is when YOU want to do it, not somebody else wanting you to. I am soooo PROUD of you son!! You hang in there and keep going.

By the way, NOW you are a killer chef, and burned oatmeal is a thing of the distant past and WE ALL KNOW THAT'S A FACT!!

Love ya tons, MOM in Utah
